Had each game in the franchise following Call of Duty 4 installed as much originality as the original Modern Warfare had, I would simply applaud Infinity Ward. But due to their sheer laziness and the unbelievable lack of improvement made since 2007, I merely shake my head at the blindness of re sheep following the herd. I haven't got a Call o Duty game since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, and I say that with some certain sense of pride. They are undeniably fun, but I became bored of Mode...
Well, I hope Gamer's DO reject this article an refuse IGN the hits they so desperately desire for this article. They churn out undeserving scores to some of the least innovative titles going *CoughModernWarfare3Cough* and then have the nerve to accuse gamers of rejecting innovation.
Might I suggest that possibly the casual Market purchase low innovation titles such as COD because you (IGN) review them highly despite their huge recycling and lack of new and original featu...
That's one of the wondrous aspects to Elder Scrolls games, they take you to a diverse catalogue of locations, from light to dark, from sunny to frosty.
Considering the sheer scope of the game, Skyrim's Graphics are truly sublime. I'm trying not to expose myself to the impending flood of footage in order to gain that unique sense of marvel retrieved on stepping out in to the landscapes of Elder Scrolls games. I cannot wait for this, sure to be, spectacular artistically and technologically beautiful title...
The rumour is stating the next Xbox is set for release the year PRIOR to Rainbow Six Patriots Release...
Why would Ibisoft announce Rainbow Six Patriots for tue Xbox 360 and PS3 if the next Xbox was to be released late 2012...? They would know it's in development...
I think a better question to ask would be, "Do you need to have played Modern Warfare 3 to know what it's like?". With most sequels featuring advancements to multiplayer there is a certain degree of freshness and slight unfamiliarity, however, continuously Call of Duty feels like the same game. And having spoken to a friend of mine of who has got MW3, he has claimed it is exactly that yet again... I doubt I'll get another Call of Duty game until Infinity Ward learn how to cr...
Is it just me, or does the building actually look better in Call of Duty 4 Modern Warare than it does in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3? How is this atrocious recycled ugly mess of a game receiving such high praise...
The bad thing is, I had initially hoped that publications wouldn't be so blind in creating their reviews and give the game the score it rightfully deserves (around the 6.5-7.5 Mark) and that Infinity Ward might realise that they have milked the engine as far ...
The game DOES have multiple endings, hence why the Co-Op Multiplayer missions where advertised as giving players the potential of achieving a better ending easier...
The same as Gears of War 3 and Uncharted 3, are you kidding me?
Is this guy blind?
- Dedicated Servers
- Hugly improved Graphics/Engine
- A heap of new weapons
- A ton of new gameplay mechanics (Mantle Kick, Meat shield, Weapon Executions, Grenade Tagging, Chainsaw Duels, etc)
- Epi Map designs (Sinking Map, Avalanche map that changes the layout, hail rain map)
- Fleshed out storyline
- Silverbacks mechs
- new and original multiplayer modes
- Ribbons
- Medals

Well that further adds to my statement that he's a terrible reviewer. There's nothing worse than a biased reviewer...
Did Greg Miller just state that Dead Island was a near perfect game? Wow, he is a terrible reviewer...
Atleast with Epic it's new maps and Horde Fortifications and it wasn't advertised prior to the games release. Re-Using old skins is pretty bad. Hopefully like Epic its only the first DLC Package that's on the disc.
Exaggeration much? I have mentioned Gears of War 3 in 2 Review Articles. This included. In neither did I criticise Uncharted 3, I own a PS3 and will purchase Uncharted 3, I was merely stating, as a huge Gears of War fan, that I wish Chad had reviewed it instead of the arsehole we all know by the name Jim. Grow up.
It's a shame Jim got to review Gears of War 3. Chad is a much better reviewer and doesnt base his reviews on what will establish the site more hits
Congrats Naughty Dog, on both the score and not having Jim review the game...
Rockstar rarely depend on conventions and events to generate hype on reveal...
Fantastic News, I can't wait for the reveal.
Perhaps Gears fanatics such as myself who were waiting for the embargo to drop for their favourite franchise and their favourite reviewers (Gamespots) review to land. I'm a fan of Uncharted also, but I just know people are going to come in and call Gamespot the worst reviewers and yet IGN of whom received nothing but hate prior to yesterday are being bowed down to as gods. Reviewers have different opinions, the N4G's PS3 fanboys don't realise that.
You forgot one of the biggest games of next year, Halo 4. I still think 2011 was the superior year for gaming...
